Vino Cotto Varco41 – Anno 2008

“Varco 41” Vino Cotto is made from the slow boiling of must in copper cauldrons and a long ageing process of at least 15 years in decades-old wooden barrels. It is a wine for slow sipping and contemplation, perfect with dry pastries, dark chocolate, and cigars.

The name refers to the company’s address, “Via Cerrone Varco 41”.

On the palate, it is intense and deep, with notes of honey, dried fruit, caramel, and balsamic accents, followed by a persistent, slightly bitter finish.
